A hairdressing device is described with a hand device (1) having a cylindrical hair roller (21) rotated by a motor (16) and a hot-air nozzle (26) blowing perpendicularly to its axis of rotation (A). At the extractor apertures (22) of the cylindrical hair roller (21) there is an underpressure generated by a blower (35) arranged in a blower casing (2) and connected via a hose (30) to the hand device (1) and its motor (16) is cooled by a draught (40) entering and leaving the blower casing (2). The draught (40) used to cool the blower motor (50) in the blower casing (2) is taken to the hot-air nozzle (26) in the hand device (1) via a warm-air conduit (54, 31, 28).
