Method and device for transporting a plurality of workpieces which are aligned with respect to their position and have at least one base surface and are preferably of the same height, especially products which take the form of flat cylinders, discs or rings, preferably of ball bearing rings or pinions. The workpieces are conveyed to a processing station (10) and away from the latter, while lying with their base surfaces in contact with the shelves (20) of tiered bays of conveying frames (21) without it being possible for them to become re-aligned or to leave their tiered bay. The workpieces can be removed from the conveying frame (21) in a tier-by-tier fashion, can be successively processed and returned to the store resting on their base surfaces (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
