The invention relates to a process which enables intrinsically conductive polymer layers which have a screening action against electromagnetic radiation to be deposited directly with strong adhesion on non-electroconductive plastic surfaces. To this end, anodically electropolymerisable heterocyclic monomers are first polymerised by chemical means to give electroconductive adhesive layers, and these are subsequently reinforced by electropolymerisation and/or electrochemical metal deposition.
