A machine for fitting crown caps to bottles has a sorting disc (2) which rotates in the vertical plane. This disc delivers the crown caps to a duct (4) which aligns the caps in a vertical plane. The caps fall in the tube (5) which rotates them through 90 deg. so that the discs are aligned axially with the tube. The discs then fall into the tubes (6, 7) which deliver them to a magnetic transfer device (8) which transfers them to the bottles on the rotor (1). The transfer device (8) is mounted to one side of the axis (9) of the rotor (1). USE - Bottling machines.
