These machines for processing sheets of cardboard or the like, to manufacture packaging, are formed by two rollers defined as stamp (press tool) and anvil, the first carrying the cutting and splitting cutters (blades). The sheet of cardboard or the like passes through both rollers in this rotary stamping system. According to the invention, the anvil is defined by a tubular component 20 composed of a rigid core 21 and a material which is resistant to cutting, which is vulcanized on said core 21. The anvil 20 is divided into two complementary parts 23 and 24, one of them having a development which is slightly greater than that of the other. A rapid-connection system is incorporated for joining, during mounting, the two component parts 23 and 24 of the tubular component 20. The connection system includes a corrugated profile 25 on the joining fronts of both parts 23 and 24, one of these having tabs 26 for fitting into complementary housings 27 in the other component. The tabs have a lateral projection in the form of a barb 29 which is inserted into a widening 30 in the lateral part of the housing 27. <IMAGE>
