The method is characterised in that to a dilute platelet-poor plasma sample… a) is added an amount of fibrin which is sufficient to produce turbidity, or this amount is generated in situ, and the time-dependent change in the turbidity or the time-dependent production of fibrin degradation products is measured or b) is added a chromogenic plasmin substrate and an amount, which is not sufficient to produce turbidity, of fibrin, fibrinogen degradation products or of an enzyme generating fibrin in situ, and the time- dependent production of colour is measured. |
