The top of each rotating disc (1) has at least four radial blades whose vertical surfaces throw the fertiliser outwards.The two edges of the blades are flanged, with the flanges directed in the direction of rotation. Slots (8) which slope upwards from the disc to the outer ends allow some of the material to pass through while the rest is deflected by trailing blade ends (10) on the blades.The flexible blade ends are slit and are mounted on holders in front of the vertical faces of the blades, to take all the outwards thrown material. The blades can be bolted to the plates as required
