Height measuring and marking-out device, in particular for three-dimensional measurement and/or marking out of workpieces, in which the bending of the column of the device, which is caused as a function of the protrusion of the transverse arm, is compensated by a compensation device. Provided as the compensation device is a shape-memory metal which alters its shape in the case of natural temperatures variations and/or temperature variations produced by a controller.
