3-Substd. -5-aminoalkanoyl aminomethyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazole derivs. of formula (I) and their salts, useful as trans-glutaminase inhibitors for treating acne, cataracts or psoriasis, are prepd.. In (I), R1 is H; R2 is H, phenylsulfonyl opt. ring substd. by C1-4 alkyl, 9-fluoromethyloxycarbonyl, succinyl or cinnamoyl; R3 is H, lower alkyl, CHMe-OCH2Ph, (CH2)4NHCOOCMe3 or (CH2)2CH(OH)CH2 NH2; X is halo, lower alkoxy, SR or S(O)2R (where R is lower alkyl).
