PURPOSE:To drive an ultrasonic vibrator under optimum exciting conditions by bringing resonance frequencies of bidirectional vibrations into coincidence by using predetermined regulating means. CONSTITUTION:In an ultrasonic vibrator 20, a longitudinal vibration first piezoelectric element 31 is secured to the side face of an elastic member 30 having a rectangular flat plate shape, a clamping bolt 33 is passed and clamped to a base 34. A bending vibration second piezoelectric element 35 is disposed on the base 34 under the member 30. A driver 37 is disposed between the member 30 and an electrode 36, regulated to adjust frequencies (resonance frequencies) to be excited, and brought into coincidence. |
