PURPOSE:To improve processing speed by detecting the position deviation of a picked-up picture for the unit of a field constituting a frame and correcting the position deviation of the picked-up picture based on the quantity of the detected position deviation. CONSTITUTION:In field measuring circuits 9 and 10, feature quantity such as the area, center of gravity and inclination, etc., of a subject is measured from a video signal expressed by inputted digital data and by reading the measured result for the unit of the field in a CPU 12, the measured value of one frame is calculated. For the correction of the position deviation, when an object picked-up in the view of a camera 1 is deviated from a reference position for DELTAx by the deviation of image pickup timing, etc., the feature of a fine specified area is exactly measured and correction processing is executed. Thus, since a distributed processing method for the unit of the field to be half of the frame length is used, the processing can be executed at high speed. |
