PURPOSE:To prevent an occurrence of heat fusion by a method wherein an ink layer consisting of a dye supply layer and a dye transfer contributing layer, each of which is formed by dispersing a sublimable dye in an organic binder, laminated in this order from the side of a substrate is provided on the substrate, and the dye transfer contributing layer contains inorganic particles. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate, a dye supply layer 4 and a dye transfer contributing layer 5 are provided in this order from the side of the substrate. A sublimable dye is adjusted so as to be easily diffused and supplied from the dye supply layer 4 to the transfer contributing layer 5 by the amount to be consumed from the transfer contributing layer 5 through a free surface by a sublimable transfer method, whereby a multi-time printing can be conducted. Inorganic particles are incorporated in the dye transfer contributing layer 5. In this manner, a sublimable thermal transfer medium for a multi-time recording having an improved heat resistance, never thermally fuses to an image receiving body at the time of printing, and exhibiting a high releasability between an ink layer and the image receiving body can be obtained. |
