PURPOSE:To eliminate a failure in starting and to effectively start in a short time by providing rotor rising characteristic converting means for sequentially converting rotor rising characteristic at a predetermined pitch and start discriminating means for determining with comparison result of a detection starting time and a reference starting time. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation starter 9 has rotor rising characteristic converting means 16 for sequentially converting rotor rising characteristic determined by rotor rising torque characteristic based on a difference between a starting torque generated at a motor 1 at each starting try and a load torque at the time of starting and rotor rising frequency characteristic based on a rotor rising period at a predetermined pitch, and start discriminating means 23 for detecting a rotor starting time, comparing the detected starting time with a predetermined reference starting time corresponding to the number of starting tries, continuing starting if the compared results are approximately coincident, stopping the try if not coincident, and again starting the try. |
