PURPOSE:To prevent misjudgment on continuously mixing of noises by following a maximum value of a gate echo with a value of a beam course being the same and continuous to remove impulsive noises. CONSTITUTION:A beam course of a gate echo is measured with a beam course measuring circuit 14 and a beam course of the gate echo at the preceding reception is compared with the beam course of the gate echo at the present reception by a beam course comparator circuit 19. A beam course latching circuit 18 latches a beam course of the newest gate echo and a gate echo-followup echo difference calculation circuit 15 calculates a difference in height between the gate echo at the present reception and a followup echo to the preceding reception. An echo height following circuit 21 calculates a followup echo height from a beam course comparison output of the comparator circuit 19. Thus, as for a gate echo with a value of the beam source different or discontinuous, the each height is not followed up and a maximum value thereof is followed up for the gate echo with the value thereof the same or continuous. |
