PURPOSE:To reduce erroneous detection caused by noise, etc., by performing via a process cartridge the actions of a detecting means for detecting the opening/closing condition of the door of a device and a detecting means for detecting paper ejecting or feeding condition. CONSTITUTION:Setting is performed so as to use the means for feeding a transfer paper, etc., or detecting its presence or absence, or a paper ejecting means provided on a fixing part 2, etc., and also a means for detecting the opening/ closing of the door 5 of the device. Also, judgement of the necessity of electrical supply to a high voltage part or a fixing device 2 when the door 5 is closed is performed via the process cartridge 6. Each condition can be grasped by the combination. Therefore, the condition of the door, the presence or absence of the process cartridge, the necessity to cut off power supply, etc., and paper feeding or ejecting condition are detected by only the two detecting means. Thus, erroneous detection caused by noise, etc., is considerably reduced. |
