<p>PURPOSE:To enable a three-piece golf ball to possess a higher repellence than the conventional two-piece golf ball and to improve the impulse force at striking by making a difference between the central hardness of a ball's inner core and the hardness of covering to the extent of 10 or more, and satisfying the equation involving the specific gravity of inner core and the specific gravity of covering; 1.0< the specific gravity of inner core <= the specific gravity of covering <1.3. CONSTITUTION:A three-piece solid golf ball is such that the diameter of inner core 1 is 29-36mm, the diameter of solid core is 37-41mm, the central hardness of inner core is 25-70, the hardness of covering is 80-95, the difference between the central hardness of inner core and the hardness of covering 2 is 10 or more, and the equation is satisfied involving the specific gravity of inner core and the specific gravity of covering; 1.0< the specific gravity of inner core <= the specific gravity of covering <1.3. The compound ingredients of solid core include base material rubber, cross linking agent, co-cross linking agent and inert filler. It is desirable that the inner core be much softer thant the covering. If the difference is 10 or less, the repellence is lowered and the impulse force at striking is increased.</p> |
