PURPOSE:To make a bending vibration of a vibrator hard to leak by connecting a support member to a edge part of the vibrator to keep the support member in a point contact with the vibrator. CONSTITUTION:When a drive signal is applied between piezo-electric elements 18 and 20 for driving, a vibrator 12 makes a bending vibration on a line running through a connection point with a support member 22a and a connection point with a support member 22b and on a line running through a connection point with a support member 24a and a connection point with a support member 24b to generate a voltage in piezo-electric elements 14 and 16 for detection accordingly. By measuring a difference between output voltages from the elements 14 and 16, an output when a vibration gyroscope 10 is not rotated can be reduced. At this point, as the members 22a and 22b and 24a and 24b are connected to an edge part of the vibrator 12 in a point contact, the bending vibration is hard to leak to the members 22a, 22b, 24a and 24b. This enables the obtaining of an efficient bending vibration with limited attenuation of the bending vibration of the vibrator 12. |
