<p num="1"><br/><br/><br/> ANTICONVULSANT .gamma.-THIOBUTYROLACTONE DERAVITES<br/><br/> Abstract of the Disclosure<br/><br/> .gamma.-Thiobutyrolactone derivatives having short<br/>chain .alpha.- and/or .gamma.- alkyl or alkenyl substituents have<br/>useful anticonvulsant properties. These compounds can<br/>be represented by the following structural formula:<br/><br/><br/><img he="0" wi="0" file="" alt="" img-content="undefined" img-format="jpg" inline="yes" orientation="portrait" /><br/><br/><br/>wherein R1 = H, alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to<br/> about 4 carbon atoms,<br/>R2 = H, alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to<br/> about 4 carbon atoms,<br/>R3 = H, alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to<br/> about 4 carbon atoms,<br/>R4 = H, alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to<br/> about 4 carbon atoms,<br/>and in which at least one of R1, R2, R3 or R4 is<br/>not H.<br/> |
