PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation and improve the efficiency by vibrating an elastic body bendingly with a first excitation body and at the same time longitudinally with a second excitation body and selecting the standing waves of the two vibrations so that the nodes of the vibrations may meet at one point. CONSTITUTION:When alternating voltage of frequency (f) is applied to a first piezoelectric body 22 to vibrate, an elastic body 21 resonates in a longitudinal vibration primary mode and a standing wave having amplitude distribution as shown in Figure (b) is excited. When alternating voltage of frequency (f) is applied to second piezoelectric bodies 23a and 23b to vibrate, the elastic body 21 vibrates in a bending vibration secondary mode and a standing wave having amplitude distribution as shown in Figure (c) is excited. In other words, the position fixed with fixation bolts 24a and 24b is the nodes of the two standing waves. In this case, when the amplitude and phases of the voltage applied to the piezoelectric bodies 22, 23a, and 23b are regulated, approximately elliptical vibration of an arbitrary form can be generated in the elastic body 21. |
