<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the direct application of an elastic binder string to fix an arc wire to an orthodontic treatment-use bracket by generating tension to make tight the binder string with the applicator handle member to tighten. CONSTITUTION: Plunger 45 is held slidably within a support member, cooperates with wire member 48 partly having jaw-like portion 53 formed so as to be insertable into a hole of elastic binder string 98, and take hold of elastic binder string 98 so as to unload thereof from a dispenser, and is slightly driven or maintained off, followed by being displaced to another position to tension the binder string 98 to a given degree, whereby the binder staring 98 may be easily disposed for direct application to the rear periphery of a binder wing end of bracket 91 upon its ready passage in front of the entirety of bracket 91. Further, the movement of plunger 45 is reference to the support member concurs with the plunger's 45 detaching elastic binder string 98 from the jaw-like portion of the wire member and then directly snapping the binder string 98 into engagement with the periphery of bracket 91 at a given position thereon rear of the binder wing end, followed by properly tying the arc wire to the bracket.</p> |
