PURPOSE:To improve a contamination at the time of printing by a method wherein the surface of an aluminum plate or a mechanically, electrically and/or chemically polished aluminum plate is treated with a metal or metallic oxide sol and, thereafter, a layer of a photosensitive composition is formed on the treated surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an aluminum plate serving as a substrate to be provided with a photosensitive layer is treated with a metal or metallic oxide sol. The sol is formed by using a metal or metallic oxide as a dispersion medium. As the metallic oxide, a hydrate may be used. As the metal or metallic oxide as a dispersoid, all materials being positively charged in the sol can be used. It is preferable that a cathode electrolytic process or a dipping treatment in a treating liquid consisting of a hydrosol containing the metal and/or metallic oxide as a dispersoid is employed as a surface sol treating method. The layer made of a photosensitive composition is provided on the surface treated with the metal or metallic oxide sol. |
