<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a tape running position and tape running direction, and to prevent the deterioration of a characteristic even when a device is used for a long time at a high temperature by setting the position of the position regulating surface of a tape guide and the curvature of a tape running surface so that the magnetic tape may make contact with the major part of the tape running surface and a position regulating surface. CONSTITUTION:The curvature of a tape running surface 2 is set large, further it is determined so that position regulating surfaces 6c and 6c' of tape guides 6 and 6' may slightly project from the curved surface of the tape running surface 2, and a magnetic tape 5 is brought into contact with the major part of the tape running surface 2 and the position regulating surfaces 6c and 6c'. As a result, the position regulating surfaces 6c and 6c' of the tape guides 6 and 6' sufficiently function, and dust, etc., falling from the position regulating surfaces 6c and 6c' are stuck near the tape guides 6 and 6' on the tape running surface 2 before they arrive at a magnetic gap part 3. Thus the running position and running direction of the tape 5 are stabilized, and even when a device is used for a long time at the high temperature, the deterioration of the characteristic can be prevented.</p> |
