NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula or salt thereof. Sodium salt thereof has the following physicochemical properties. Appearance, colorless crystal; specific rotation, +2.4 deg. (C=0.5, CHCl3); solubility, soluble in methanol, ethanol, chloroform and acetone and slightly soluble in water and hexane; mass spectrum (SIMS), m/Z 723 (M+Na); elementary analysis (%), C 62.99, H 9.37, O 24.11 and Na 3.54; melting point, 181-182 deg.C; molecular formula, C35H67O11Na, etc. USE:An antiulcer agent and inositol phospholipid metabolism inhibiting agent. PREPARATION:A microbial strain of MH816-AF strain (FERM P-10398) belonging to the genus Streptomyces is aerobically cultured. |
