PURPOSE:To obtain a preventive and remedy for arteriosclerosis based on the platelet coagulation suppressing action or a platelet coagulation suppressing agent by using a calcitonin gene relating peptide(CGRP), its derivative or their salt as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains, as an active component, CGRP such as human alpha-CGRP, human beta-CGRP, avian CGRP, rat alpha-CGRP and swine CGRP, its derivative or their salt. The active component is preferably administered by peritoneal administration and the daily dose is 1-500mug for adult. The above derivative is e.g. desalanyl-deamino-human alpha-CGRP, desalanyl-[Asu<2>,<7>]-human beta-CGRP and [Asp<14>]-human alpha-CGRP. |
