PURPOSE:To promote deodorizing effects against acidic malodorous components such as hydrogen sulfide, methylmercaptan etc., by causing sheet materials of paper, nonwoven fabric etc., to include a specified quantity of amorphous aluminosilicate to form a deodorization sheet. CONSTITUTION:Sheet materials such as paper, nonwoven fabric etc., are caused to include a specified quantity of amorphous aluminosilicates which are salts of one or more kinds of metals selected from a group of Fe, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Sn, Ca, and Mg to form deodorization sheets. Content of amorphous aluminosilicate in sheet is preferably 0.1-90 wt.%. Such amorphous aluminosilicate as represented by the formula I (M : metal ion, n: valence of said metal ion, x : 2-100) is desirable in respect of ion-exchange capacity. The deodorization sheets thus obtained can capture efficiently only malodorous materials from gases containing malodorous materials to make them odorless. |
