摘要 PURPOSE:To enable accurate control of intake flow corresponding to various driving states by converting a valve position of a flow control valve having a non-linear opening valve characteristic into an intake flow or a scalar amount in proportion to the intake flow so as to attempt linearization. CONSTITUTION:An ISC valve 1, as a flow control valve for controlling an opening area of an intake passage 102 which bypasses a throttle valve 3 in an intake pipe 2, brings a valve 108 in and out of contact with a valve seat 103 through a screw feeding mechanism and a valve stem 107 by rotation of a rotor 105 of a step motor 106. In this case, in controlling the ISC valve 1, a valve position in a predetermined driving state is converted into an intake flow or a scalar amount in proportion to this intake flow, and a target amount is acquired by adding an increase or decrease amount set in advance corresponding to change of a driving state to the converted amount. And a target valve position satisfying this target amount is retrieved from a map and the step motor 106 is controlled according to the deviation between this target valve position and an actual valve position.
