发明名称 SUBLIMABLE THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a sublimable thermal transfer recording medium with the ability to keep sheets in satisfactory condition without any possibility of occurrence of a contamination problem during the storage of sheets by laminating a dye diffusion protecting layer thinly on the rear of a base. CONSTITUTION:Resin obtained by esterifying a copolymer of styrene and maleic acid anhydride as a dye diffusion protecting layer. This resin can easily be obtained by mixing and heating the copolymer of styrene and maleic acid anhydride and the amount diluted by a factor of 10 to 20 of alcohol, and applied to a support as it is. In addition, a lubricating heat-resistant layer consists mainly of a highly heat-resistant polymer binder. The recommendable polymer binders are cellulose resin and silicone resin. The mixture ratio of the binder and the resin obtained by esterifying the copolymer of styrene and maleic acid is 30:70 to 70:30. In addition, a dye supply layer and a dye transfer contributing layer are formed by using the same amount of material on a base as independent layers. Furthermore, the amounts of dye to be transferred to image-receiving layers are selected so that the amount for the dye supply layer is larger than that for the dye transfer contributing layer. Consequently, a thermally sensitive transfer medium which can be stably kept in storage and does not cause contamination problem is obtained.
