PURPOSE:To attain debugging in a field, a learning on a dictionary when the dictionary is placed on ROM and the registration of a new word by providing a ROM difference detection part a non-volatile memory and a correction part. CONSTITUTION:When writing with respect to ROM 1 occurs, the detection part 4 compares write data with the content of ROM 1. When they coincide, a write action with respect to ROM 1 is completed. When they do not coincide, the difference of write data and ROM data is extracted, and reserved in non- volatile RAM 2 with address information of ROM 1. When reading with respect to ROM 1 occurs, the correction part 3 reads data from ROM 1, checks alteration information reserved in non-volatile RAM 2. When alteration information exists with respect to a designation address, data read from ROM 1 based on the information is changed and generates accurate data. Thus, debugging in the field, the learning on the dictionary when the dictionary is placed on ROM and the registration of the new word are attained.
