PURPOSE: To enhance mass-productivity and to facilitate mounting by forming the fastener seating surfaces of wheel mounting studs around the shaft mounting part of a disc molded integrally with an annular rim, orienting the ends of reinforcing fibers so that the ends terminate at the seating surfaces, and forming lubricant layers on the seating surfaces. CONSTITUTION: A fiber-reinforced resin vehicle wheel comprises an annular rim 12 and a disc 16, and a center opening 18 for mounting and bolt mounting openings 20 arranged in an array around the center opening 18 are formed in the disc 16. An outwardly-broadening conical seating surface 22 is formed at the farther end of the bolt mounting opening 20 from the vehicle. A stud 28 is passed through the opening 20, and when a nut 32 is screwed onto the stud, the conical base part 34 of the nut is seated. The ends of reinforcing fibers are oriented to terminate at the seating surface 22 and a lubricant layer 36 is formed. This constitution enhances mass-productivity and facilitates mounting on a vehicle body. |
