摘要 PURPOSE:To improve safety and to measure the turbo-charging characteristics accurately, by driving a turbine of a turbo-charger characteristics measuring apparatus by a compressed air source, and arranging a plurality of sonic nozzles at the inlet port for the turbine and at the outlet port for a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A compressed air source 4 of a plant is connected to a turbine T of an apparatus for measuring turbo-charging characteristics. Sonic nozzles 7 and 8 are arranged at an upstream pipe 2a for the turbine and at a downstream pipe 3a for a compressor C. The turbine T is driven by the air source 4, and the sonic nozzles 7-1-7-3 are selected. Gas flow rates at the time of the start of an engine, at the time of arbitrary number of rotation, and at the time of the maximum turbo charge are set, respectively. In association with said settings, the nozzles 8-1-8-3 are selected and the sucking resistances for the flow rates at the times are set. Therefore, high temperature gas is not used for driving the turbine, safety is improved, and the turbo-charging characteristics under the various operating states of the engine can be accurately measured.
