PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of a user by comparing a intrinsic code from a data storage unit in this time of communication with the preceding intrinsic code under an individual identification mode, executing the update and storage of this time intrinsic code to a preceding intrinsic code storing means when the both codes are dissident and transmitting such a condition to a host equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the individual identification mode is designated, a controller 2 waits for the arrival of the data storage unit. When the data storage unit arrives, the intrinsic code of the data storage unit in the preceding communication is compared with the intrinsic code of this time data storage unit. As the result of the comparison, when the both codes are coincident, for example, an access corresponding to an automatic command is not executed but ignored. When the compared result is the dissidence, since there is the arrival of the new data storage unit, the stored contents of the preceding intrinsic code storing means are updated to the intrinsic code in this time and it is responded to a host equipment 1 that the new data storage unit arrives. Thus, the burden of the user can be reduced. |
