<p>A method of flash-butt contact welding of a pair of parts provides for partial melting of the parts (1, 2) to be welded and their clamping together. During partial melting, the parts (1, 2) are stopped at the moments when the weld current reaches a predetermined current stopping value and the parts (1, 2) are brought into oscillating movement. As the weld current decreases during the stoppage of the parts (1, 2) their oscillating movement is discontinued and their mutual clamping is resumed.</p> |
