A method of welding a motor stator that is constituted by laminating a plurality of steel plates. Reflection jigs (5a, 5b) for reflecting the laser beam are intimately attached to both ends (1a, 1b) of the motor stator (1) and the steel plates are moved in the direction of the laminated layer and are line-welded together while irradiating the outer circumference of the motor stator (1) with a laser beam (8). The reflection jigs (5a, 5b) reflect the laser beam (8) but are not heated, and only portions of the steel plates (1) are welded. Therefore, the beads are not disturbed at the beginning and end of the welding, and the outer circumference is smoothly finished. |
