There is provided a pharmaceutical composition which comprises an aqueous vehicle, a compound having reversible thermosetting gel properties and a compound having film-forming properties. Depending on the relative proportions of these components, the composition can be adapted to function either as a vehicle for delivering pharmacologically or diagnostically active compounds to a human or animal patient and/or as a wound dressing composition.
