VEHICULAR LAMP AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a vehicular lamp as well as the lamp where a reflective film having a specific silver-plating layer is provided at a required area of a lamp housing, particularly the lamp where a lens and a lamp housing are molded integrally by a die slide injection molding method. SOLUTION: Alkyd resin coating which contains alkoxytitanium ester and one of epoxysilane and epoxy resin is applied to a required area of a lamp housing 2. The area is dried to form an undercoat layer and then a silver-plating layer is formed by a specific silver mirror reaction on a surface of the undercoat layer. Thus, a vehicular lamp is provided which is furnished with a reflective film 4 composed of the undercoat layer and the silver-plating layer. The vehicular lamp is provided with a lens 1 and the lamp housing 2 which are molded integrally by a die slide injection molding method, and particularly the vehicular lamp is provided with the reflective film 4 composed of the specific undercoat layer and the silver-plating layer on an outer surface of the lamp housing 2.
