PURPOSE:To secure the stable method of stereopsis in a wide range without using spectacles by sticking a lenticular lens on the surface of a display device in which the shapes of the surfaces of liquid crystal, a PDP and a fluorescent character display tube, etc., are nearly plane and specifying the pitch of the lens. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted so that two display picture elements of the display are made to correspond to nearly one pitch of the lenticular lens and signals respectively inputted in the two display picture elements 4a and 4b are set as a left eye signal and a right eye signal, and so that the enters between all pairs of picture elements 4a and 4b arranged in the horizontal direction of the display may be projected to the nearly center between both eyes 9a and 9b of an observer at a position which is a distance D from the surface of the display in an observation direction through the lenticular lens. Then, the display picture elements are projected after being enlarged to the size approximate to that of a space between both pupils of a man at the distance D by using the lenticular lens. Thus, the method of stereopsis of the entire display plane is accomplished and two eyes system maximum visual area(space between both pupils) is obtained. |
