PURPOSE:To attain ease of excitation and to increase the Q of the vibrator by adhering dividedly an electrode while taking points being nodes of the vibration as boundaries and making the polarity of the potential applied to adjacent electrodes opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:The electrodes on the surface of vibration arms 6, 6 having a length L are divided at points of 0.225L being nodes of the resonance from both ends so as to form respectively divisions 9-11 and 12-14. A proper value to a degree not causing difficulty to the vapor-deposition process or the like is selected to the pitch between the electrodes 9 and 10, 10 and 11 or between 12 and 13, 13 and 14. Further, the polarity of the potential applied to each electrode is made opposite to adjacent electrodes. Thus, since the torque of the vibration arms 6, 6 generated by each electrode is coincident with the direction of generation of the displacement when each part is resonated, the excitation is made easy and also the Q of the vibrator is increased. |
