<p>PURPOSE:To make possible the automatic setting of a light source to a specified position by projecting light from respective light sources to a sensor and determining whether or not the light sources are mutually positioned as specified using a signal from the sensor. CONSTITUTION:If a key for setting a color shift adjustment mode is pressed, a rotary drum 10 rotates, and an optical head 15 moves to a position for the end of the rotary drum 10 where two sensors 41, 42 are provided. Respective R, G and B light sources provided on the optical head 15 are turned ON to project light to the rotary drum 10. A subroutine for adjusting the light source in a main scan direction is run using a sensor 41, and after this, a subroutine for adjusting a light source in a subscan direction is run using a sensor 42. Then the respective light sources are turned OFF, the optical head 15 is returned to a home position, and the rotary drum 10 is stopped. Consequently, the light source is set to a specified value, and data begins to be printed by turning a printing start switch ON.</p> |
