Manufacture of spherical hollow bodies. The method consists in: - forming a first subassembly I having the shape of a spherical ring; - forming a second subassembly II having the shape of a spherical cap; - presenting the spherical cap opposite the ring and joining them by chamfering the connecting planes and by welding the said planes in order to obtain a hemispherical assembly; - forming, in a similar fashion, a second hemispherical assembly; - spherically machining the internal face of at least one hemispherical assembly to a radius R of centre C; - presenting the two hemispherical assemblies opposite each other and joining them.
