PURPOSE:To eliminate an uncomfortable feeling upon change-over in a vehicle in which rear wheels are steered in a direction with a reverse phase to the steering direction of front wheels in a low speed range while the rear wheels being steered in the same phase direction as that of the front wheels in a high speed range, by setting a dead zone where the rear wheel is not steered, between the upper limit of the low speed range and the lower limit of the high speed range. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle in which front left and rear wheels 1 are steered in association with the rotating operation of a steering wheel through a steering gear 4 while rear left and right wheels 2 being steered in association with the operation of a hydraulic actuator 5, the actuator 5 is driven by a hydraulic pressure fed from a feed-back hydraulic control valve 9 adapted to be changed over by a valve operating cylinder 10. Further, a controller 15 steers the rear wheels 2 in a low speed range in a direction with a reverse phase to the steering direction of the front wheels 1 while steering the rear wheels in the same steering direction as that of the front wheels by means of the control valve 9. In this arrangement, a dead zone where the rear wheels are not steered is set between the upper limit of the low speed range and the lower limit of the high speed range, thereby it is possible to aim at eliminating an uncomfortable feeling upon change-over of steering directions. |
