MULTILAYER BARRIER FILM ABLE TO BE THERMALLY LAMINATED

PURPOSE: To provide a heat-laminatable film with a gas-barrier layer without adding an adhesive by providing a heat-laminatable gas-barrier layer contg. a specified ingredient to a drawn polypropylene base film. CONSTITUTION: A base layer I being at least monoaxially drawn and comprising mainly polypropylene is provided and at least one layer II which can be activated by heat is provided on the base layer I. A mixture A for heat-laminatable layer II contains ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer A1, ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer A2.1 and/or ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer A2.2. The heat- laminatable layer II is simultaneously a gas-barrier layer. The layer II of the film is faced to a substrate and is laminated by action of heat and a little pressure. This multi-layer film is especially appropriate as a laminated film component in a laminated film for packing easily perishable foods.
