PURPOSE:To obtain a printer whose workability in recovering and changing toner is enhanced at the time of maintenance by enabling a recovery pipe branched from the suction path of a large sized vacuum to be connected with a developing unit via a connecting jig. CONSTITUTION:The printer is usually provided with the developing unit 1 as well as the large sized vacuum 4 which sucks waste developer. A cyclone 8 is arranged on the upstream side of the suction paths of the large sized vacuum 4 and one of the paths is constituted as a recovery pipe 7 that sucks developer contained in the developing unit 1. At the time of maintenance the connecting jig 6 of the recovery pipe 7 is connected with the developer exhaust port 2 of the developing unit 1 and the large sized vacuum 4 is actuated, the developer contained in the developing unit 1 is recovered to a recovery box 9 via the cyclone 8. The suction power is so larger that the developer contained in the developing unit 1 is discharged without scattering and maintenance workability can thus be enhanced. |
