PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to make a device size-small, by constituting the device that most of electric signal operations is performed with optical operations. CONSTITUTION:Photodetectors 2 receive light from, e.g., a picture. An input optical fiber 3 is connected to the respective photodetector 2. The photodetector 2 and the input optical fiber 3 constitute an input fiber 4. A plurality of output fibers 5 have electric signal output elements 6. When an optical signal from an output optical fiber 9 enters a photoelectric conversion element 8 or 8a at the output fibers 5, photoelectric conversion is done at the element and an electric signal is given to an addition circuit 7. The addition circuit 7 sums up the inputted electric signal with the electric signal of the photoelectric conversion element 8a and the result is outputted from the element 6 as an electric signal. |
