As a result of the co-operation of the capacitors with the resistors of the resistance network, potentials arise at the input terminals (RXo, RX1) of the receiver part of the subscriber (10), which ensure that the data present on the data bus are identified even in the event of a short circuit of one of the bus lines to earth, to the battery voltage or to the other bus lines, or if one of the lines is disconnected. |
