A new human elastase inhibitor is provided. The human elastase inhibitor is isolated, purified, characterized at the molecular level and cloned. The human elastase inhibitor is substantially non-glycosylated, is capable of forming a covalent complex with elastase and is capable of inhibiting elastase. |
