摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide various functions necessary for ophthalmic operation to enable a surgeon to control critical parameters of each function, by equipping a means to supply a cleaning and suction vacuum at a level decided by the user, a means to control hand-held type scissors, a means to control a cutting device, a means to control vitrectomy probe, and a means to control those tools and a means by a mode selected by the user, each connected to the central processing unit. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor 30 controls a vacuum generating system, air pressure system, and various solenoid operation valves, relays, displays and indicators, and performs processes under various modes. For instance, at a cleaning and suction mode, vitrectomy mode, and analysis mode, vacuum is supplied to a manual tool used by a surgeon by the system to suck body fluid from tissue, washing fluid, and an area operation is executed. At the vitrectomy mode, a cutting probe is driven by pressurized air pulses. Frequencies of these pulses are controlled by a cutting speed regulating controller part 50 to be a potentiometer.</p>
