<p>PURPOSE:To accurately, speedily, and easily input many characters, symbols, etc., by a small-sized, inexpensive device by detecting the operation path of a moving element according to the detection output of the moving element which have passed a detection position and outputting a character, symbol, etc., corresponding to the operation path. CONSTITUTION:When the tip 5 of the moving element is on a reference sensor S1, an operation stick 2 is moved from on the sensor S1 along a desired operation path and put back on the reference sensor S1 again, so that the sensor S1 and other sensors S2 - S5 on the operation path conduct in order. A sensor integrated circuit 10 is stored with the order of the conduction of the sensors S1 - S5 and when the reference sensor S1 turns on lastly, the operation path of the moving element corresponding to the conduction order of the sensors S1 - S5 is detected. Further, the sensor integrated circuit 10 outputs the character, symbol, etc., corresponding to the operation path. Consequently, many characters, symbols, etc., can easily and speedily be inputted by the small-sized, inexpensive device.</p> |
