CONSTITUTION:When the resolution of a printer engine 1 is increased, the capacity of the bit map memory 7 or the font cache 6 is increased to execute rapid printing with high quality. At the time of reducing the resolution, the capacity of the memory 7 or 6 is reduced and an idle memory area is used. Since the area of the font memory or the bit map memory is changed in accordance with the resolution set up in an output means to change the capacity of the memory, the built-in memory can be effectively used. |
