PURPOSE: To produce a planographic printing plate having relatively high running performance, satisfactory copying behavior and high shelf stability by using a mixture contg. polyurethane additionally contg. repeating urea groups in the principal chain. CONSTITUTION: This radiation polymerizable mixture contains polyurethane, an olefinic unsatd. polymerizable compd. and a polymn. initiator capable of activation with chemical rays, especially UV or visible radiation or further contains other standard components in a photopolymerizable mixture. The polyurethane is high molecular polyurethane contg. carboxyl and urea groups obtd. by allowing a diol contg. a carboxyl group to react with a diisocyanate and allowing the resultant prepolymer having terminal NCO groups to react with a diamine. This mixture can be photopolymerized, is especially fit to produce a planographic printing plate, forms a low viscosity coating material, can easily be processed with an aq. soln. and forms an image stencil having high resistance and high wear resistance.
