PURPOSE:To prevent a file fault and a system fault which follow up the fixation of a medium fault by executing automatically a fault communication at the time when a medium system fault becomes remarkable, and performing an error log output. CONSTITUTION:At the time of raising a system, a device table to which a disk device number, the number of times of an I/O error, and the number of times of an I/O error threshold are set is initialized by a device table initializing means 1. After raising the system, an input/output error is detected by an input/ output error deciding means 3, and also, in the case of an input/output error of a disk medium fault system, an error log obtained from an input/output cue is registered by an error log registering means 5, and an error count check means 8 checks whether the number of times of an error in the device table 2 exceeds the number of times of an error threshold or not. When its number of times exceeds the number of times of an error threshold, a threshold-over informing means 9 outputs a message of its fact, and an error log output means 10 edits and outputs the error log registered by the error log registering means 5. In such a way, a file fault and a system fault which follow up the fixation of a medium fault are prevented. |
